Barbara C. Wilson
Barbara C. Wilson Ed.D. is founder and President of the Maple Leaf Management Group. She is the firm’s Senior Consultant specializing
in Feasibility Studies, Board development, Mediation and Executive searches and CEO Evaluations. As a multi lingual consultant she has
experience in international marketing.Working as a team with Associate Vice Chancellor for the State University of New York, Dr. Wilson was responsible for supporting Presidential Searches and Evaluations for the 64 campus system. She led 13 highly successful searches to find new campus leaders and 18 annual Presidential evaluations. She co-authored with Robert H. Atwell an article for Trusteeship Journal titled “A Non Traditional President May Fit Just Right.” In her role as Special Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, Texas she was responsible for founding the Hospital’s first five medical residency programs in collaboration with the Texas Tech Medical School. In her role Dr. Wilson also planned, developed and translated on site Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for North Central Mexican physicians and nurses. She was the principal investigator for the first collaborative Community Health Needs Assessment in El Paso, the largest border community in the world. In her career, Dr. Wilson served as the Executive Director of Common Ground Mediation Service where she mediated court referred cases. She founded a grassroots school mediation program for Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania by training over 200 teachers and students. Dr. Wilson holds a BA in Modern Languages from Thomas Edison College in Trenton, NJ, a M.Ed. in Adult and Continuing Education from Rutgers University as well as a certificate in Educational Gerontology and an Ed.D. in Adult and Continuing Education from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. |
